  1. Laurie Laurie

It sounds like a wonderful journey, not only in miles across the globe but also through time and history, linking the past with the present. It’s amazing how the lives of those in our past crochet the fabric from which we emerge as part of the pattern.

What I want to know is how has this changed you? How did it change your relationship with your dad? Do you view yourself, or life differently? You you feel an increase sense of significance?

What a blessing that you could make this trip! :O)

  2. @ Laurie- I will attempt to cover some of these questions as part of future follow-ups to the trip.

  3. Being present is such a tricky thing, isn’t it. I find myself reading tour books about the place I’m visiting instead of just visiting it. Now I try to look over the literature while we’re eating breakfast or when we’re winding down for the evening; basically: in the hotel only!

I’ve done the same thing with parenting books and that’s the longest ‘trip’ of your life…
