I LOVE the comment about letting the best in you run your life. It is easy to be suck on how we fall short. But it doesn’t make sense to operate from our weaknesses but rather from our strengths. Meanwhile, work on our weaknesses and grow as a person.

The other day the hub and I got into some really wonderful full body hugs for quite some time. The hugs were very expressive and I felt like I was hugging and being hugged from deep within. It was very intimate.

I loved this post a year ago and it is a wonderful review now. With so many new readers here at Simple Marriage, hopefully you will impact many more folks.

    God Bless…

I was confused about the last part, “engaging your partner”. How would you define that? Speaking about love during sex? Thinking of your partner’s needs and desires (read physical feelings). Are we talking about the emotional connection?

    • This could be talking but the idea is more about engaging your partner on an emotional, mental, and spiritual level. It seems many times during sex you can be one of 3 places: focusing on performance/sensations, fantasizing, or connecting with your partner. The last one is the hardest to accomplish but worth the effort.

Most often this connection comes when you both can relax and be more fully present during the sexual encounter.
