Ahhh, a new post. It's about time!

I think the best thing the hubby and I did was dedicate one evening a week to reserve for each other. We've done everything from a real date to playing Scrabble. My son knows that on that night, Mom's taxi is out of business. It has been fun to anticipate the time together. We have alternated planning what we'll do so it is equitable. Some of the things we've done include: Walking to a coffee shop and enjoying some specialty coffee, candle light dinner sitting on pillows on the floor, playing racket ball, take in a movie, eat out dessert, make a chocolate fondue, get a margarita, have some intimate time with blankets spread on the trampoline under the stars (very cool). One night after hubby's office Christmas party, he had reserved a room at the hotel for us to spend the night! It was the best time ever. Doing these things together have really brought us closer together. We use to never do anything except the birthday and anniversary dinner. I just couldn't get hubby to buy into the value of this. Finally, he realized the value and gave the time and effort. He has benefited from our time together. I have been much more interested in the "nightcap" because I felt closer to him. A total win/win situation. He feels closer as well. It's been a great thing. Don't let you two drift apart. Invest the time in your most important relationship! It keeps things sizzling!
