  1. This is the best news I’ve heard all year! SimpleMarriage is already one of my favorite blogs on the internet and I am super excited to see the content expand!

  2. Looks like a good addition to SM and the expanding voice here at SM. Look forward to hearing their thoughts as well.

  3. Can’t wait to meet all the Simple Marriage Readers! We are all in this together, and boy doesn’t that make you feel better? Families need support, encouragement and practical tools for today, and that’s where I come in!

  4. I’m very excited to get started writing here and interacting with the Simple Marriage community. Here’s to an awesome 2010…and beyond!

  5. Just want to add my voice of thrill and excitement to be part of this wonderful SM community. (Althouh I have been a lurking reader for some time now!!) As much as I hope to offer I hope to learn from you as well. And may I say, if you want to let me know about parenting issues you would like to see me cover here, please do! Just tell me that you are an SM reader in the subject. (You can find my contact info at the website.)

  6. Awesome line up! And congrats, Dustin! (heard about this from your blog) Looking forward to this new year of great content to read and even better people to connect and interact with!

  8. Looking forward to a great new year to learn more about SM readers and to offer simple ways to connect with your own family.

  9. Dustin, I am very excited for you man! It looks like you joined a marvelous team of bloggers! Congratulations my friend! I am proud of what you are doing all around, and it is an honor to know you.

I am subscribed and intend to follow the team!

  10. So excited to see Melissa join the team! Congrats on the fantastic new crew!

  11. Great idea! And sure to be credible, confident, clever writers if you’ve invited them to SM! Especially interested in Careers & Money topics right now. I left my career a few years ago to raise our three kids, our youngest who has extreme health issues and major medical bills. We’ve already reached our $1 million dollar insurance cap for her in one year. Stress is really starting to show on my hardworking teacher and coach of a husband.

    • Wow Jodi, it sounds like you guys are going through some extremely stressful times right now. I honestly cannot relate to the pressures of having a child with health problems and the financial implications that come along with it.

It sounds like your husband is an incredible guy who is doing everything he knows how to provide for his family during these tough times. Make sure you leave no doubt in his mind that you appreciate his sacrifices and know he is doing everything within his power to bring financial stability during trying times. I’m sure he can use all the affirmation he can get under the circumstances.

Please also be sure to keep your marriage your top priority, and let financial obligations fall into a distant second. You and your family are certainly in my prayers.

  12. Marriage is complex because it is a melting pot of lots of life’s issues: relationships, child rearing, careers, elder care, finances, dreams etc. When something is complex we need ideas and tools to stream line it and simplify. For this reason, I am looking forward to Simple Marriage. Especially Melissa’s ideas on organizing and how to get things done.
The older I get the more of a minimalist I become. I’ve even taken to drawing visuals to represent things in life because it is a minimalist approach.
