  1. What a beautiful post. As a writer, and as a wife, I’m so thrilled to hear a man talk about his bond with his wife like this, in an almost sacred way. Thank you, Rori

Sean! Glad to see you here. Simple Marriage is the first blog I started reading so I am thrilled you are here on this page in the blog-o-sphere. How cool!

Once again, your words choreograph a beautiful ballet, pleasing to watch, wishing I knew the steps. I know your next year will be grand with new adventures and nice surprises to unwrap. Enjoy the journey.

  3. Marriage – a good marriage – IS an amazing adventure. I’ll join your wife in saying your words are beautiful, Sean.

  4. Rori: My pleasure. I’m glad you enjoyed it. She is indeed my best friend.

Laurie: Hi, Laurie! As scary as it is, I’ve never enjoyed a journey more.

    Vered: As always, Vered, Thanks!

  5. Thanks Sean for your willingness to share your experiences in marriage with others.

  6. That was a great story. I envy your relationship with your wife and only hope in time I can have a better relationship with my husband. Yours sounds like the kind of love that everyone should aspire to have. Thanks for sharing.

  7. What a lovely post! Thanks for sharing.

  8. This is a beautiful way to look at a marriage, not as a separate entity, but as it should be, all woven into the rest of what life is and who you are. I especially love this sentence: “Marriage is the ultimate adventure, a podium from which every other dream might declare its intention.”

  9. What a wonderful post Sean. Beautiful words and ever so beautiful is the emotion behind it. I could not, would not be where I am but for my husband – I cannot write like you but your writing echos my feelings of the past months and the times to come ….
It is indeed the best adventure!

  10. Corey: My absolute pleasure, Corey. Thanks for having me. Sorry it took me so long to get back over here! I’ve no excuse other than my mind’s been like a sieve lately.

Danifer: It isn’t always easy, but it is always worth it.

    Christi: My pleasure!

Kristin: That’s exactly how I see it, a tapestry to weave; a constant to never be forgotten.

Maya: It doesn’t matter if you can write it, so long as you can feel it. That you do!
