    Excellent post and good points all around. I as well have never been one to understand the allure of getting drunk. My weakness is stopping at fast food, with my busy schedule it is so much easier. I remember sitting down for evening meals with my parents when I was younger, they are good memories and something I think I may start to return to.

  3. I’ve been absent from this site for awhile. I really resonated with this post. I’ve never had alcohol, and I’ve never missed it! I do struggle with the mindless eating–especially candy! As I was reading your post, I realized I don’t keep it eating it because it tastes so good; the taste is hardly a factor after awhile. I need to remember to be present in all things, including eating!

    Move Into the Conflict. Uugh. I hate conflict and run away far away from it, sometimes, ironically enough, by way of food and/or drink. Really should stop that and try to Move Into the Conflict. Wow.
