It’s time once again for all things manly!
It appears as though this time our manly contributions have been impacted by the Labor Day holiday. While the number of contributions are down this week, the testosterone level is still high.
After you’ve perused all the contributors, I’ve included for your enjoyment many of the Man Up and Woman Up posts we’ve been running here at Simple Marriages this summer. While it may be a slight breech of hosting etiquette to include one’s own posts in this week’s offerings, I hope it adds to your manly endeavors as you go forth this week.
Now off to all that is hairy!
Cameron Schaefer presents What Ever Happened to Personal Responsibility? posted at Schaefer’s Blog.
Danny Gamache presents A Story of Persistence, Goal Setting, and Passion posted at The Success Professor.
kip presents Ode to Hayward Street posted at Zen and the Art of the Midlife Crisis.
DaddyBrain presents How To Retrain The Reactive Brain posted at Daddy Brain.
Michael Snyder presents 15 Things That Are Wrong With America posted at The Moral Collapse Of America.
And just in time for football season:
This has to be the manliest grill you’ll find. A Grill that attaches to your tow hitch and rides outside your truck or SUV. Perfect for tailgating. http://www.tailgatingideas.com/freedomgrill/

My name is Corey Allan. It's nice to meet you. I began blogging during the summer of 2007 with the belief that it's possible to get more out of marriage and life. Blogging seemed like a great way to share ideas and find others who want more as well. With your help, our little project can change the world.

I am Kips biggest and newest fan over at: Zen and the Art of the Midlife Crisis. His postings are full of heart. Guys, you want to melt your lady’s heart, share yours like he does his!
I’ve been a reader of this blog for about a month, and so far I’ve really appreciated the great articles and advice. As a result, I’m really disappointed to read Michael Snyder’s blog in this round up. Some of his points might be reread (if they weren’t written is such a biased fashion) as signs that some things are improving in the US. Snyder is rabidly neocon, and part of his argument against Barrack Obama is that he is tolerant. Its your blog, and I’m certainly not going to tell what to write about, or what politics to reflect, but I can’t condone Snyder’s over-the-top judgemental tone as “manly”.
@ Andrew- Thanks for sharing your thoughts about this week’s Manival. I too don’t agree with Micheal’s take on things, but in an effort to let others share their views, even if I don’t agree, I included his post. In the future I hope you’ll continue to express your take on things here. I’ll always welcome the honest feedback. Thanks.
Hi, I’m new here. Is the Manival a weekly thing? How can I find out about the next one?
@ Hunter- Welcome man. Glad you’ve joined us recently. As for the Manival, it’s a weekly thing started by Brett of the Art Of Manliness. Lately it’s been a bit sporadic and missed a week here of there. There has even been talk of making it a monthly thing instead of weekly going forward. The best way to keep up with it would be subscribe to Art Of Manliness. Hope to keep seeing you around here in the future. Blessings.
Fair enough, Corey, and like I say I’m not going to try and dictate anything to anybody. I’ll say this about Snyder, though: as someone of faith, its refreshing to see that there are people in the Evangelical right that agree with progressive Christians on the subject of stewardship of the earth.
I’ll also grant that I’m anything but an arbiter of masculinity.
Thanks again!
