Fair enough, Corey, and like I say I’m not going to try and dictate anything to anybody. I’ll say this about Snyder, though: as someone of faith, its refreshing to see that there are people in the Evangelical right that agree with progressive Christians on the subject of stewardship of the earth.

I’ll also grant that I’m anything but an arbiter of masculinity.

@ Hunter- Welcome man. Glad you’ve joined us recently. As for the Manival, it’s a weekly thing started by Brett of the Art Of Manliness. Lately it’s been a bit sporadic and missed a week here of there. There has even been talk of making it a monthly thing instead of weekly going forward. The best way to keep up with it would be subscribe to Art Of Manliness. Hope to keep seeing you around here in the future. Blessings.

I too don’t agree with Micheal’s take on things, but in an effort to let others share their views, even if I don’t agree, I included his post. I’ve been a reader of this blog for about a month, and so far I’ve really appreciated the great articles and advice. As a result, I’m really disappointed to read Michael Snyder’s blog in this round up. Some of his points might be reread (if they weren’t written is such a biased fashion) as signs that some things are improving in the US. Snyder is rabidly neocon, and part of his argument against Barrack Obama is that he is tolerant. Its your blog, and I’m certainly not going to tell what to write about, or what politics to reflect, but I can’t condone Snyder’s over-the-top judgemental tone as “manly”.
